So, I gave my slower dog, Sophie (the one who stood in a sprinkler's path hoping it would just leave her alone) a bath. She was pretty cool about it, as usual. Afterward she shook off in the tub and everything, let me use the blow dryer on her, et cetera. But dogs with longish hair don't dry off very quickly, so I put her collar back on and took her out to my car. I drove us around for about forty-five minutes, since I love to drive and she loves to ride. Every once in a while she would stop panting and just look up at me like, "THIS IS AWESOME."

Adventure dog is go!

By the time we pulled back into the driveway, she was dry and I felt refreshed.
