Running is starting to become a sort of sanctuary. I started this whole running schedule hoping to just improve my lung function (to help with my asthma) and build muscles (because being a teenager with arthritis spells "suck-ass old age issues" to me), but it's become more than that, I think. I'm excited to get up and run. I'm sad when it's a resting day.

Plus, all these endorphins are making me laugh more at lunch. :] Plus (!!!!!), I've noticed a change in my friends because of that change in myself! How awesome that we can all sit there and laugh with each other. Meg even told me I was becoming a fatty and I didn't get all hurt deep inside. That's a good sort of trust, to know that it just means I'm eating more (because before I ate a snack after school and dinner. I'm not a hungry person naturally).

:]

Speaking of Meg, I should probably tell you what she did:

She applied to Harvard. She was accepted. And...she turned them down.

Why?

She says she just wanted to see if she could get in.

We're ambiguous people.

[EDIT 2:15AM]

I just started crying a little when I found the answer I thought would destroy my entire portfolio in the older, crappy version I slapped together in one lunch period. Of all the things I got right in that paper, I did not expect this to be one of them. Hallelujah.

Wow. Your friend is amazing.

Are you running recreational or part of a team??
Either way, kudos ^___^ !

Ahh I hate resting days too! I'm a competitive jump roper and I LOVE going to the studios to work myself to death. I guess some people might think of it as lonely, just going there with my ropes and music, but I love solitude sometimes. And on the days where I'm too busy, my back hurts, or I have a headache, I HATE not being able to go even though I know it's a terrible idea haha! I don't even know why I like it...it hurts like hell, but I feel like it's a test of my own will to push through the pain, you know? Maybe you don't run quite as intensely haha but I think we're on the same page.

(make sure you're getting enough carbs + protein after your run and that you drink enough water hehe)

Ahh I'm just starting to get into this new FMA series, because it's finally starting to diverge significantly from the first series. I guess Brotherhood follows the manga more closely so it's like a whole new adventure for me haha...just like the good 'ol days when I used to watch the stuff at 1AM on adult swim.

Anyways, I'm rambling...keep up those runs :)

I have friends/sibling[s] who like to run
They love it.
I do not.
I have never really liked running at all, ever, so I've never tried it as a recreational activity.

I'm just not very motivated (to move around and sweat.) :/
